Another Newyear Email Virus

There is another virus that is found on 12th January 2011 that attacks through emails, Download From website,Instant Message(MSN,Gtalk,QQ etc.) it is called Virus.Acad.Pasdoc.i. It comes as PE.exe file which is of size 416KB. This is a virus that will establish a connection automatically with SMTP servers and delete connections or disables them which will make it impossible to send emails.

This has been detected 2328141times and has many names:

• Trojan-GameThief.Win32.Magania.acfy
• Trojan.DOS.Hellfire.c
• Antispyware PRO XP
• Trojan.Win32.Autoit.dq
• AdWare.Win32.BBT.jk

Effects: 

• It attacks SMTP servers and sends an email automatically to different addresses.
• It creates folders in program files and system 32.
• Runs background Processes that use memory on the Processor that slows down the PC and reduce the performance.
• It applies hidden attributes to all the files it will create in system32 folder. 
• It changes values in registry and enables its auto execution by making an entry in Run folder.
