KSecurity is a new rogue anti-spyware designed for a Korean market.
If out of nowhere you see a warning telling that it has found some kind of virus, you should scan your computer with alternative anti-spyware because all this information is definitely false. Being just another rogue anti-spyware from Korea similar to MegaVaccine or VirusCure, K Security partially tells the truth about these viruses on your PC. However, instead of them you should pay attention to KSecurity which should be categorized a rogue anti-spyware and needs to be uninstalled.
Being designed for PC users’ ripping, KSecurity displays false positives telling you that computer has been compromised. Typically, it poses scanning of the system and then alerts about some Trojans and other cyber threats detected but doesn’t let the user to remove these detections. For a removal, which now looks completely useless, KSecurity will ask paying some money. Don’t pay for it! You’d better remove KSecurity with all its Trojans that help in distribution.
Removal:
Kill malicious Processes from Task Manager:
- k-security.exe
Location of the infection:
- %UserProfile%\AppData\k-security.exe
Registry Entries to be removed. (Take a backup of registry, before editing it)
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "KSecurity"
Although it is possible to manually remove KSecurity, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. For other users, we recommend malware and spyware removal applications.
After removing all these files, restart your computer and the issue will be fixed. And don’t forget to do update your Security Software, check the Firewall Settings and the Operating System and finally do a full system scan with the Security Software.
