PCommander is a fake security program. P-Commander uses fraudulent and deceptive tactics to gain a purchase.
It’s presented as anti-spyware while it’s actually a computer infection. PCommander is installed by trojans. It also spreads via malicious websites.
PCommander loads imitations of system scan and threat alerts. Victims of this malware should keep in mind that thing reported by PCommander are not real. It reports imaginary infections and errors in order to push people into buying the program. Besides loading annoying pop-ups, PCommander may also hijack web browser. Remove PCommander as soon as possible.
To remove PCommander spyware you must block PCommander sites, stop and remove processes, search and delete all other PCommander files and registry utility. Follow the PCommander detection and removal instructions below.
Removal:
Kill malicious Processes from Task Manager:
- ccmain.exe
Location of the infection:
- %UserProfile%\Application Data\Microsoft\ccmain.exe
Registry Entries to be removed. (Take a backup of registry, before editing it)
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "PCommander"
Although it is possible to manually remove PCommander, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed.
