Antivirus Monitor is a rogue anti-spyware program from the same family as AntiVira Av and Antimalware GO. 

This rogue antivirus program displays fake security alerts and states that your computer is infected with viruses that may steel your sensitive information or even make your PC unusable. Antivirus Monitor reports false system security threats and infections to scare you into thinking that your computer is infected. It then prompts to pay for a full version of the program to remove the threats. If your computer is infected with this scareware, please use the removal instructions below to remove Antivirus Monitor from your computer as soon as possible. You can remove it manually or use an automatic removal tool.

Antivirus Monitor is promoted through the use of Trojans, fake online scanners and infected websites. Once installed, the rogue program will scan your computer and state that there are several critical infections that should be removed from the system immediately. Antivirus Monitor it won't let you to remove the infections unless you first purchase it. What is more, it will constantly display fake security alerts about serious system threats and critical infections.

 

Removal:

Kill malicious Processes from Task Manager:

 Location of the infection:

 Registry Entries to be removed. (Take a backup of registry, before editing it)

•  HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerPhishingFilter "Enabled" = '0'

Although it is possible to manually remove Antivirus Monitor, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed.
