Wind Optimizer.

Wind Optimizer is a rogue Windows optimization program that supposedly optimizes and speeds up your computer performance.
It was created by the same developers who have released rogue security applications General Antivirus and Personal Antivirus. Likely, the rogue is advertised through the use of Trojans, such as Zlob or Vundo. Once installed, Wind Optimizer will automatically scan your computer and report various bogus infections or security threats. In order to remove these infections, you will be asked to purchase the program. However, Wind Optimizer is a scam, don't purchase this program. You will only waste your money.

While running, Wind Optimizer will display exaggerated security alerts and privacy violation notifications. You may also notice that your computer works slower than usual. This is because this program uses a lot of computer's CPU and memory. It may also download additional malware onto your computer. As you could already understand Wind Optimizer is totally worthless and even dangerous application. It should be removed as soon as possible.

Removal:

Kill malicious Processes from Task Manager:
  • WindOptimizer.exe
 Location of the infection:
  1. c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Wind Optimizer\
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Wind Optimizer_is1
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "Wind Optimizer"
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center "AutoUpdateDisableNotify"
Although it is possible to manually remove Wind Optimizer, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. For other users, we recommend  malware and spyware removal applications.

After removing all these files, restart your computer and the issue will be fixed. And don’t forget to do update your Security Software, check the Firewall Settings and the Operating System and finally do a full system scan with the Security Software.
