Windows Antispyware Solution.

Windows AntiSpyware Solution is another of the rogue anti-virus programs that is promoted by fake Microsoft Security Essentials alert.
This alert is seen once a PC is infected with one of the trojans pretending to be MSE. The trojan can infect PCs when visiting infected pages unprotected or through various “free” updates and downloads, especially video codec related. Once you press on alert, a fake scan is started, and you are informed that you got unknown Win32/Trojan or Trojan.Horse.Win32.PAV.64.a. According to fake MSE, it can not be removed by it. Typically, antiviruses can delete trojans they can detect even without fully knowing them. Thus this is first clue, that the software is fake one. The next clue is that it offers to download another tool, namely Windows Antispyware Solution.

After reboot, your system is controlled by fake antivirus Windows AntiSpyware Solution. This antivirus will block majority of legal operations, and try to “scan” your PC to convince you that you need a full version of the program. This is done by blocking access to windows desktop, showing various alerts and by stopping execution of legitimate programs.

Although the problems are looking grave, Windows Antispyware Solution does not come with keylogger (usually), but with bunch of trojans, and is a phishing scam on itself. Its alerts should be ignored, and you should not pay for this scamware under any circumstances. Paying for it will result in your credit card details being used without your consent by the makers of Windows Antispyware Solution scareware. It is better to get rid of this rogue in its alerts by removing it.

Removal:
Kill malicious Processes from Task Manager:
  • [random].exe
Location of the infection:
  1. %UserProfile%\Application Data\[random]\
  2. %UserProfile%\Application Data\[random]\.[random].exe
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce "[random]"
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\msseces.exe "Debugger" = 'svchost.exe'
Although it is possible to manually remove Windows Antispyware Solution, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. For other users, we recommend  malware and spyware removal applications.

After removing all these files, restart your computer and the issue will be fixed. And don’t forget to do update your Security Software, check the Firewall Settings and the Operating System and finally do a full system scan with the Security Software.
