Privacy Corrector.

Privacy Corrector is a program which should be never installed on your computer.
Though it may look quite trustworthy at the first sight, malware just like its earlier variants PC optimizer  or PrivacyGuard is distributed through phony online scanners, fake video codecs and trojan horses. Trojans infiltrate computers without being recognized by any security software and then drop some fake malware files to detect them later. So, don’t be fooled when Privacy Corrector says that there are numerous infections on your machine! The only scam on your machine is the same Privacy Corrector.

Right after it gets on your computer, program begins interrupting into the browsing sessions with misleading issuing about computer problems detected. Privacy Corrector typically alerts from the system tray and using Microsoft Security Alert reports parasites that need to be eliminated. Of course, you won’t be allowed to remove these “viruses” for free – you will be told that firstly you should purchase a license. Keep in mind that any ads generated by Privacy Corrector are bogus and must not be taken as the real ones. They return only invented problems and aims to rip you off.

Kill malicious Processes from Task Manager:
  • PrivacyCorrector.exe
 Location of the infection:
  1. C:\Program Files\PC\PrivacyCorrector\
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “PrivacyCorrector.exe”
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system
    EnableLUA = 0×00000000
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Protection
Although it is possible to manually remove Privacy Corrector, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. For other users, we recommend  malware and spyware removal applications.

After removing all these files, restart your computer and the issue will be fixed. And don’t forget to do update your Security Software, check the Firewall Settings and the Operating System and finally do a full system scan with the Security Software.
