Nevertheless, do NOT confuse Antivirus 360 with Norton Antivirus 360. Norton Antivirus 360 is a legit product, while Antivirus 360 is a rogue or fake antivirus product. Antivirus 360 normally generates fake and misleading system pop up error messages so end-users will be tricked into purchase Antivirus 360. Likely fake security pop up alerts include, “Attention! If your computer is struck by the spyware, you could suffer data loss, erratic PC behavior, PC freezes and crashes. Detect and Remove virus before they damage your computer! Antivirus 360 will perform a 100% FREE and quick scan of your computer for Viruses, Spyware and Adware. Do you want to install Antivirus 360 to scan your computer for malware now? (Recommended)”
It is very critical to remove Antivirus 360 and all its components. As always, make sure that you back up all important data before you proceed. Although it is possible to manually remove Antivirus 360, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. Remove the following infected Registry entries.
(Take a backup of registry, before editing it)
- HKEY-LOCAL-MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run Antivirus 360
- HKEY-CURRENT-USER\Software\(random combination of numbers)``
- HKEY-CURRENT-USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run (random combination of numbers)
After removing all these files, restart your computer and the issue will be fixed. And don’t forget to do update your Security Software, check the Firewall Settings and the Operating System and finally do a full system scan with the Security Software.
