Palladium Antivirus.

Palladium Antivirus or Palladium Pro is a typical malware which aggressively recommends activating its licensed version in order to make the computer protected.

Palladium Antivirus infection comes in several stages. If an user visits infected website without decent anti-virus and anti-malware protection, or downloads a fake video codec, fake application update or similar, he will be infected with trojan. This trojan will show a window, mimicking Microsoft Security Essentials – a legitimate remover on its own, though the popup will not be real. This popup will claim that your PC is infected, and majority of infections will not be cured by any other soft except “Microsoft’s” Palladium Antivirus. Then the malware will be downloaded and PC will be rebooted to finalize install of that scam.
After reboot, Palladium Antivirus starts making a havoc on the infected machine what means that it will drop some fake harmless files that later will be detected as malware. Additional actions of Palladium Antivirus will be quite typical for this type of virus: rogue ware will start triggering fake threat detection reports and scanners that all will find tons of viruses. In fact, you shouldn’t be scared by these “detections” because they are the same harmless files, earlier dropped by Palladium Antivirus. Through this type of activity, Palladium Antivirus expects from you to become scared and will offer purchasing its license. However, trusting Palladium Antivirus and its misleading warnings announcing about dangerous activity of malware is useless and even dangerous. Instead of fixing your computer, it will be infected with more malware and disabled from running any possible anti-spyware.

 Removal:

 Infected Location:
  1.   %AppData%\Palladium.exe
  2. %AppData%\Z.exe
  3. %Programs%\Palladium.lnk
  4. %Desktop%\Palladium.lnk
  •  HKCU\Software\Palladium Pro\
Although it is possible to manually remove Palladium Antivirus, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. For other users, we recommend  malware and spyware removal applications.

After removing all these files, restart your computer and the issue will be fixed. And don’t forget to do update your Security Software, check the Firewall Settings and the Operating System and finally do a full system scan with the Security Software.
