Antivirus Center.

Antivirus Center is a fake antivirus application mimicking Windows Defender.
This parasite goes with many names, including Internet Protection and some others. All of them behave similarly: First you are infected by downloading it from fake scanner pages or an application bundled with Trojans. Typically, these applications pretend to be codecs, Adobe or Java updates. Then your PC is blocked and Antivirus Center will display lots of warnings to convince that that it can remove all the viruses. This is done in various stages.
First, there are Antivirus Center popups and alerts. These will claim that “Your system has come under attack of harmful software.” or “External software tries to control variety of your system files. This may lead to breaking of some data in your system. Click here to protect remote access to your PC & delete these programs.” . All of these are fake, and tries to convince you into launching Antivirus Center scan.
If you launch Antivirus Center scan, it will detect various system and harmless files and infection. Some of the detected files might not even exist on your PC. However, Antivirus Center will claim that each of these infections are dangerous and will steal all your info. This is untrue. All Antivirus Center scan results are faked and should be ignored. Antivirus Center scam tries to make you provide credit card details to them, and then steal your money. Typically for these scams, your CC data might be sold further, so if you paid for Antivirus Center, I recommend contacting your bank and asking to change your CC number. In many cases you might get the money back as well.

Removal:

Kill malicious Processes from Task Manager:
  • [random].exe
Location of the infection:
  1. %UserProfile%\Application Data\[random]\.[random].exe
  2. %UserProfile%\Application Data\[random]\.[random].dat
  •  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce "[random]"
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\msseces.exe "Debugger" = 'svchost.exe'
Although it is possible to manually remove Antivirus Center, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. For other users, we recommend  malware and spyware removal applications.

After removing all these files, restart your computer and the issue will be fixed. And don’t forget to do update your Security Software, check the Firewall Settings and the Operating System and finally do a full system scan with the Security Software.
