Win PC Antivirus.

WinPC Antivirus is another illusion of protection that hackers want you to pay for.
WinPC Antivirus is a rogue application, fake spyware remover. This parasite is clearly a copy of WinPC Defender. Despite petty changes, WinPC Antivirus basically acts like many similar rogue anti-spyware applications. Once this program is downloaded and installed, it will display a variety of fake infections and security problems. Kill malicious Processes from Task Manager:

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WinPC Antivirus
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\don't load "wscui.cpl"
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center "UpdatesDisableNotify" => 1
Although it is possible to manually remove Win PC Antivirus, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed.
